Introduction:

Windows Server 2016 Edition Essentials is the first server connected to the cloud, ideal for small businesses with up to 25 users and 50 devices. The Essentials Edition is a good solution for companies that previously used Windows Server 2012 Foundation, which is not available with Windows Server 2016. In this tutorial, we'll see how to install Windows Server 2016.

Steps to follow:

1. You are free to burn the operating system ISO to a DVD, but it is probably easier to install the software using a USB stick. Create a bootable USB flash drive and power on your server.

2. Click Next if you accept the default values. But you can adjust the language and the local settings if you like.

3. Click on “Install now”

4. Next, add your license key to activate the product.

5. Accept the terms and click Next.

6. Choose Custom because it will be a clean install.

7. It is always recommended that you install the operating system on a stand-alone hard disk.

8. Windows is starting to install our new Windows Server 2016 Essentials server.

9. Choose a password then click Finish.

10. Log in with your password.

Congrats! The operating system is now successfully installed and all that remains is to configure the Essentials part.
