Did you have enough of seeing the same font on Windows 10 every day? I invite you to follow this article in order to learn the steps to change the default system font on your PC.
In Windows 7 and earlier versions of Windows users were able to change the font style, font size and the colour of the various menus and dialog boxes by using the advanced appearance settings of the Desktop Customization window (Office Properties).
But in the Windows 8 and later versions of Windows, Microsoft has removed the feature from advanced appearance settings and users can no longer change the font style or colour. The only option that is still available to users is customizing the font size.

Steps to change the font used

1. Type fonts in the search bar
2. Next, click Fonts at the top of the Start menu.

3. The Fonts window in the Control Panel will be displayed.

4. Find the font you want to use and write down its name. Here we will use Agency FB font.
5. To change a registry key and change the font, type regedit in the search bar
6. Next, click on regedit at the top of the Start menu.
7. In the Registry Editor, select the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersion
8. Click FontSubstitutes. The MS Shell Dlg key sets the system font used by Windows 10.

9. Double-click the MS Shell Dlg key, type the name of the font to be used and validate by clicking OK

10. Restart your computer to complete the task.
Remember not to choose any font, such as Webdings or Wingdings, which are symbols and can cause problems on your system.
Congrats! The font used is in the dialog box now!
