Introduction

The context menu command named Share with in Windows 10, is a special item that allows you to quickly share selected files or folders with other users.

Indeed, the Share with command makes it easy to share files and folders, or even whole libraries, with other users. The options you will see in the Share With menu will depend on the file, folder, or drive you share, and the type of network (home group, workgroup, or domain) that your computer is connected to.

There are certain locations in Windows that, for security reasons, cannot be shared directly using the Share With menu. For example, if you are trying to share a drive or system folders (eg Program Files, Users, Windows, etc.) you must use advanced sharing instead.

Depending on the file or folder selected, the Share With command and the Share tab may contain different options. Additional options may become visible if your PC is part of a home group, workgroup, or Active Directory domain.

This tutorial will show you how to remove the Share with context menu in Properties for all users of Windows 10.

N.B You must be logged in as an administrator to add or remove the share with context menu.

Steps to remove "Share with"

1. Right-click on the Start menu of Windows 10 or Press the key combination "WIN + R" to launch the Run dialog box,
