Introduction
CCleaner is a tool that is widely recommended to clean your PC online and offline. This is a very popular application for erasing temporary files and erasing private data. This tool hides a variety of features, from refined options to tweak the cleaning process to complete disk erase tools.
CCleaner is easy to use for beginners. You only have to launch it and click on the Run Cleaner button. Yet you can do a lot more than that with Ccleaner.
CCleaner is a software able to analyse your system in order to clean it but also to optimize it. It can clean up unnecessary files, settings and registry entries for web browsers and many applications installed on your system, as well as Windows features. Note that CCleaner is also available in an Android mobile version and tablet.
Note: You must be logged in to an administrator account to use CCleaner. You can still use it as a normal or restricted user, but Windows can prevent you from deleting some files.

Clean your PC with CCleaner
Note: CCleaner permanently modifies some system and program files. Please make sure you know what the consequences may be.
1. Download and install CCleaner for Windows from the following link.
2. In CCleaner, click the Cleaner icon on the left.
3. Choose the Windows features you want to clean by checking the corresponding boxes (you can clean everything in Internet Explorer, for example, by checking the box next to the header).
To get rid of unnecessary files, it is recommended to check: Temporary Files (under Internet Explorer), Empty Recycle Bin, System Temporary Files, .chk File Fragments and Memory Dump Files.
When you select or clear certain options, a warning text appears. Read the text and click OK to close the dialog box.
4. Click the Applications tab. It includes optimization functions for external programs that you have installed on the system.
5. Choose the applications or features you want to clean.
6. Click the Analyze button. CCleaner scans the files and registry keys that belong to the Windows features and applications that you have selected. It can take some time.
Once the scan is complete, you can check which files will be deleted in the text window.
7. To save the list of items to delete, right-click in the text window and then click Save to Text File ... To clean an item directly from the scan list, right-click on this element
8. Then click Clean. Be aware that if the files you want to delete are open and are used by Windows, CCleaner will have trouble cleaning them. It is therefore recommended to close Internet browsers before completing the cleanup.
You will be notified that CCleaner is about to permanently delete the files from the system. Click OK to continue.
9. When cleaning is complete, CCleaner displays a report of the deleted files in the text window. To save the list, right-click in the text window, and then click Save to Text File
Notes:
You can quickly select or clear all sub-items in an article header. For example, if you right-click the Internet Explorer header, you can check All, uncheck All, or Restore Default State.
