Introduction
When you install the Facebook app for the first time on your Android phone, you are asked to synchronize the application with your contacts.
Although enabling synchronization is a good idea to become available to all your friends, you can desynchronize your contacts and directory from your Facebook account when you plan to completely disable or delete your account or when you want to create a new account or new Facebook profile for your business or personal use.
If continuous synchronization is enabled, Messenger will download your contacts from your device.
Here's how to enable or disable continuous syncing in the Messenger app and block Facebook Messenger access to your contacts.

3. Locate and tap the Messenger icon.
To enable or disable continuous synchronization in the Messenger application:

7. Press Contacts Sync to enable or disable this setting.
You can request or delete your downloaded contacts on the Manage Imported Contacts for Messenger page. To delete your downloaded contacts from Messenger, go to the page and select Delete All.
Note: To prevent your contacts from being downloaded again, you must turn off continuous syncing on all devices on which you use the Messenger application.
