Introduction
It is an option that is built into Microsoft Outlook since Microsoft Office 2010 which is about grouping messages sent or received from one sender, and display them by conversation.
Microsoft Outlook automatically collects emails by date. However, you can also group emails manually using standard features or by generating your own custom grouping. Even if you're more used to the default groups in your inbox, these groups are applied to other mail folders as well.
As in Gmail, the Microsoft Outlook software makes it possible to group the emails of the same object in a thread of conversation. Google's "Conversation Mode", which groups e-mails by subject, allows faster access to all the exchanges in a conversation, thus avoiding having to search for all the returns that concern the same subject.
The default groups that are displayed in your Outlook Inbox are Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month, and Old. Some of the standard layouts available include grouping based on categories, size, subject, and importance.
This option is not enabled by default, but it can be enabled in Microsoft Outlook 2010-2013 and 2016.

Steps to group chat messages in Outlook 2016
To group Outlook emails as a conversation
1. Move to the Inbox folder (or another Outlook folder to rearrange).
2. Click on the "View" tab
3. Then check "Show as conversations"
4. Choose whether this new display mode should be applied to all folders and mailboxes, or just to thecurrent folder.
5. The inbox and / or other Outlook folders are now organized in "chat" mode: a small triangle faces each discussion to develop the different email exchanges.
To reset the message organization, return to the View menu and uncheck "Show as conversations".
