Introduction
Windows 7 is one of the most popular operating systems developed by Microsoft. Even if you've never installed Windows 7 before, it's easy to install it on a desktop or laptop. In other guides, we have already explained the steps of creating a USB support and DVD support for a Windows 7 installation.
In this tutorial we will show you the steps of a new install of Windows 7.
The setup of Windows 7 is the same with the Home, Professional or Ultimate version.
If this is the first setup of Windows 7 on your PC, you can upgrade before cleaning the installation.
It is recommended to do a clean install of the operating system. With this option, files, settings, and applications will not be transferred to Windows 7. You must back up your files before continuing.

7. Next, select a hard drive or partition
There are several scenarios for choosing the disk or partition on which we will install Windows 7.
Install Windows 7 on an empty disk
On a new PC or a new disk, simply select the disk which should be characterized as "Unallocated Space".
Install Windows 7 on a disk that already has a Windows partition
If you had already installed Windows on the disk, it will appear as one or more Windows partitions. Generally, the first or both partitions - if there is a partition reserved for the system - belong to the previous installation.
Note: Before making any changes to the previous partitions, we must make sure that we have backed up all the data on the partitions. Deleting or formatting partitions will destroy all the files inside.
Installing Windows 7
After selecting the disk or partition, the Windows installation will begin. We just have to wait.
... restarts automatically and continues the installation.
Configure Windows 7
After a second automatic reboot, we just need to enter our personal information and create our user account.
We need first to select a user name and a computer name. The name of the computer is the name with which our PC will appear on our local area network (LAN).
Entering a password is optional, but it is recommended for the security of our account.
We can now add the product key, as we can enter it later. The Windows 7 ISO will run for 30 days as a full trial without a product key.
It is best to use the recommended settings for Windows update.
We need then to select our time zone, and to ensure that we have set the correct date and time.
If our PC is connected to our home network with Ethernet, we select Home Network to exchange files with other devices over the LAN.
