 Introduction

Looking for how to change the format of the date and time set by default in Windows 10? Here is the method for changing the regional format in Windows 10. This change will affect the calendar, the first day of the week, dates, times, and currency settings. Windows formats dates and times according to your language and regional preferences and allows applications to use the setting to provide you with relevant content. Microsoft added the Region to Time and Language section after the last update of April 2018, which allows you to change the regional format. Previously, the setting existed in Region in the Classic Settings panel only.

steps to follow

Here is how to change the format of the date and time in Windows 10

1. First, open the Windows settings in one of several ways. You can also press the Win and I key combination for the same thing.

2. When the Settings application appears on the screen, click Time and Language.

3. Select Region in the left bar on the next page. Go to the right interface and check the settings one after the other.

 4. The first option is Region, click on the drop-down list below and choose your country.

5. The regional format usually defines a match from the preferred list. If this does not suit you, click on the drop-down menu and choose one.

6. Now to go to the regional format data section where the first Calendar option is automatically set as it meets the current format. For the country having the English language, the Georgian calendar is commonly used.

7. In general, Monday is the first day of the week and this also meets the international standard ISO 8601. But many countries like the United States, Japan and Canada, Sunday is the first day. However, here again you get a drop-down list to choose a preferable day on the first day of the week.

8. In the Short Date section, you have options to view the format. These settings will affect your regions, language, currency, time, and date formats in the calendar. As Windows takes formats from the calendar to display them on different places in the taskbar, Mail People, Skype, etc., so your options chosen. The change here will automatically install the language pack on the system.
