According to Microsoft, users can play almost any game with a smoother experience using Game Mode.

Windows 10 Game Mode

Game mode is a term coined by Microsoft for computer gamers. This mode helps users to use the maximum amount of system resources for the player to get a better user experience. To get rid of unwanted delay, missing frame rate, etc., this mode was introduced in Windows 10 V1703 or Creators Update.

After activating Game Mode, your computer will use most of the CPU and GPU power to play the game. Unwanted and non-priority background processes will be stopped automatically. Unwanted background processes include random antivirus scans, and so on.

- Unfortunately, there is no option for a user to stop or execute a particular background process while having the Game Mode enabled.

 Steps to follow:

Enable and use Game Mode in Windows 10

       1. To activate the game mode in Windows 10, open the Settings panel and go to the Games section.

       3. Next, click Game bar to view all possible Game Mode options. Several keyboard shortcuts are available.

After activating Game mode from the Settings panel, you must activate it in the individual game. For this you need to activate the game bar, which can be found on the same screen where you found the game mode.

       4. Open the Game Bar section and enable the option labeled Save Clips, Screenshots, and Broadcast using the Game Bar.

       5. Now open any game and press Win + G to display the game bar.
