Introduction:

Factory settings usually refer to restoring or resetting your computer to its original configuration, as it was when you purchased it.

A factory reset is also known as factory reset or factory reset.

Restoring a computer to its factory settings will erase all personal files: music, movies, images and any installed software applications or drivers that have not been included in the original configuration of this computer.

If you think that your Windows 7 PC is running out of the performance, it may be time to reinstall the operating system.

From registry problems to malware to large amounts of unnecessary software, an operating system reset can solve a number of common problems and return your device to its former glory. If your PC comes with a factory recovery disc, it probably has several different reinstallation options to get your machine up and running as if you had just removed it from the box.
Indeed, Windows 7 (and Vista predecessor, even if you use it) do not have to refresh and reset integrated with the latest versions. Users with these operating systems have two choices to perform a factory reset.

Restore without CD / DVD installation:

If no installation CD or DVD is available, you can boot into Safe Mode and perform System Restore.
Performing System Restore from Safe Mode
Before you begin, note that you can not undo a restore if you run it from safe mode.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Turn on the computer

2. Press and hold the F8 key

3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Restore factory and reinstall Windows 7

4. Click on Enter

5. Log in as administrator

6. When the command prompt appears, type this command: rstrui.exe

7. Click Enter

8. Follow the wizard's instructions to continue restoring the system
