Open an Office application, such as Word.
Create a new document.
Accede to "File" then "Account" or "Help".


Under Product Information, you will find the name of your Office product and the full version number, or you will find the name of your product and you will click on "About Word" to view the version number and the type of the version (32 or 64 bits).

Identify the Office version for MAC


Open an Office application, such as Word.
Create a new document.
Select About Word.


A dialog box opens, at which you will find at the top the version number if it is an Office for Mac 2016 or at the top left if it is an office for Mac 2011.
