Introduction:

Windows updates allow your computer to have the latest features and fixes. However, it can also slow down your operating system and consume space on your hard drive. Steps to follow:

1. Click the Start button >> All Programs Open the Windows Update settings.
2. Select "Change Settings" at the top of the left pane.

3. Open the drop-down menu under the heading "Important Updates". The list will show the ways in which you can handle Windows updates.
4. Select Never check for updates (not recommended) at the bottom of the drop-down menu. Choosing this option will not cause any malfunction in the system.

5. Save your changes. Click the OK button at the bottom of the page.
