This tutorial will guide you in setting up your account on Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016.
Automatic configuration of your Microsoft Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016 account
To set up your Microsoft Outlook 2013 account follow the following steps :
- In Outlook click on "File"
2. Then select "Add Account" under Account Information
3. On the Automatic Account Setup page enter your name, e-mail address and password then select "Next"
4. Click on “finish”
NOTE: If you receive an error message after clicking on Next, verify that you have entered your e-mail address and password correctly.
Manually set your Microsoft Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016 account
If automatic configuration fails, it is recommended to use the manual configuration option.
1. Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" then click on "Next"
2. Select POP or IMAP then click on “next”
3. Enter the following information
- Your name and e-mail address.
- Account type: This is usually IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): 993
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): 465 or 587
- Use the following encrypted connection type: SSL or TLS
4. Click on “Next” then on “Finish”
There you go! Your account is set to Outlook. You can add as many accounts as you want by following the same procedure.
