What is an OEM license
OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacturer".
The Microsoft OEM license is intended primarily for system integrators and hardware manufacturers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo ... who buy components from other companies such as Intel and sell complete systems under their own brands, A Windows preinstalled on a PC at a reduced cost.
Thus, the Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Office OEM license can only be used on one device at a time.
Although it is a full version of the Windows operating system or Microsoft Office suite, the OEM version is much cheaper than the Retail box version. The main reason for this difference in price is explained in particular by the fact that the OEM version is generally intended for manufacturers of computer equipment, assemblers and system integrators and not to individuals.
As a result, from a feature point of view, the OEM version is strictly identical to the box version.
