Introduction:
Adding tabs to File Explorer is one of the most popular features for Windows 10. Despite users requesting this feature, Microsoft so far has not added this option. It makes sense for businesses to avoid big changes, since they could lose users. At the same time, there are changes that many users would like to see.
But you do not have to wait for Microsoft to get tabs in File Explorer. It turns out you can do it. Although it is not officially supported, Clover 3 works on Windows 10.
Clover 3 seems to be based on Chromium, the open source Google project that it uses to develop Chrome, which means that you can use some basic Chrome features with a Clover 3 File Explorer.
In this article we will show you how to install and use this feature on Windows 1
Steps to follow:
1. Download this tool from this link.
2. Setup the tool by clicking on the executable and following the standard installation steps.
3. Once installed, launch Clover 3
4. All files from now on will be managed by Clover. Each new folder you open will open in a new tab similar to the browser tabs on Google Chrome. Opening a new tab will take you to My Computer as the default page.
5. Favourite folders can be added by right-clicking on the bookmarks bar.
Congrats! You can now open multiple tabs in the file explorer.
