Introduction:
If you are using the Windows 7 Ultimate editions, Enterprise, or other editions of Windows 7, you can easily change the language settings of the interface. However, you will need to install the language pack to continue. This is done only in the Windows upgrade menu.
Windows 7 allows you to change the language of the system yourself. If you purchased a computer with the installed language and want to change it in another language, you can follow the instructions below to change it.
This guide will show you how to change the display language in Windows 7 to one of the 30 languages compatible with this Microsoft operating system.
Steps to follow:
1. Click the start Menu then on control panel
2. Select Language and Region.
3. Switch to Keyboard and languages tab
4. Next, click on Install or Uninstall Languages
5. Click on Install Display Languages.
6. Select Launch Windows Update.
Note: Windows Update is used to download updates, security patches, language packs, drivers, and other features directly from Microsoft.
7. Click on "Search for updates" in the menu on the left.
8. Click on "Optional updates are available" on the left side panel. If this link is not present, select "Check for Updates".
9. Check the box of the language you want to install. After selecting the language, click the OK button.
10. Click Install Updates. Downloading a language pack may take a few minutes.
11. Once the language packages are downloaded and installed, they will be available.
12. When you return to the Region and Language dialog box, select the languages that you have just downloaded from the Choose a display language drop-down list.
13. After you select the language, click OK to save the changes.
To activate the new display language, you must disconnect from your computer. Once you have logged in, the display language you selected should be active.
